Residential Energy Credit:   Qualified energy-efficient improvements up to $3,200 annually.

Details:   

• Limit 30% of cost up to $600 for qualifying natural gas furnaces, air conditioners, and natural gas hot water heaters. or 30% of cost up to $2,000 for heat pumps.
• You can claim the credit for not only a primary residence, but also a secondary one.
• You can only claim for existing homes. New build homes do not qualify for credit.
• Non-refundable tax credit. Can only be used to lower tax liability. 
• Effective January 1, 2023, and runs through September 30, 2031. 
• We will provide you with required documents. Check with your tax professional for claim process.

EER2 ≥ 10.0

HSPF2 ≥ 8.1

Ductless:

SEER2 ≥16 

EER2 ≥9 

HSPF2 ≥9.5 

Air Conditioners Minimum Requirements:

Split System:

SEER2 ≥ 16.0

EER2 ≥ 12.0

Packaged System:

SEER2 ≥ 15.2

EER2 ≥ 11.5

Natural Gas Furnace Minimum Requirements:

ENERGY STAR certified gas furnaces with AFUE > 97% are eligible. 

Natural Gas Hot Water Heater Minimum Requirements:

Tank:

ENERGY STAR certified models > 0.81 UEF for tanks less than 55 gallons and > 0.86 UEF for tanks greater than or equal to 55 gallons. 

Tankless:

ENERGY STAR certified models with > 0.95 UEF.
